What is RootedRooti?
Rooted is a 10-week discipleship experience designed to help you connect with God, the church, and your purpose. Through weekly gatherings, personal Scripture reading, prayer, group discussion, and hands-on experiences like serving and sharing your story, Rooted moves beyond a typical Bible study into a life-changing journey of spiritual growth and community. Rooted is built on core rhythms of discipleship—such as daily devotion, prayer, worship, generosity, and service—that help participants deepen their faith, build meaningful relationships, and live out their faith in everyday life. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or looking to go deeper in your walk with Jesus, Rooted offers a supportive space to grow as a disciple in community.
Rooted is a ten-week experience held in our Next Gen building during the spring, summer,
and fall quarters. Sessions meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM.

Q: Is there a cost to attend?
A: There is a $35 registration fee per person to help cover the cost of materials, including the workbook and banquet. If this cost is a hardship, please speak with one of our pastors so we can help!
Q: Is there childcare?
A: Yes! There is childcare provided for children ages 0-12.
Q: Can teenagers attend?
A: Yes, teens ages 13 and above are welcome to join Rooted!
Q: Do I have to attend Southern Hills Church to attend Rooted?
A: Rooted is for anyone exploring faith and what it means to follow Jesus! However, completion of the Alpha Experience is required before joining Rooted.
Q: Can I join if I missed the first session?
A: The Rooted curriculum is intentionally designed to build a strong foundation for your faith, so consistent attendance is important. If you miss more than two sessions, you’ll be able to jump back in during the next Rooted Experience.
Q: Do I need to prepare anything?
A: Yes! Your Rooted workbook includes 5 days of reading and reflection each week to help prepare you for group discussion. Each daily devotional takes about 15 minutes to complete.
