Your First Visit
Be sure to arrive early to check your kids in and drop them off in their environments before the service starts. (In order to check your child in for the first time, you’ll need to set up a KidCheck account using "Southern Hills Las Vegas" as your location. Feel free to set one up in advance to save time, or we can help you when you arrive!)
When you get to Southern Hills, one of our greeters can point you toward the SH Kids check-in area in the lobby of our Next Gen Building. Make sure you visit one of the designated “first-time” check-in stations so a volunteer can assist you through the check-in and drop-off process and your child can receive their First-time SH Kids gift.
What Our Kids Are Learning
At SH Kids, we use the AWANA Brite© curriculum. In every lesson, the Bible is read, heard, and connected to Jesus in ways kids can understand in their own lives to form a faith built to navigate the path ahead. AWANA Brite© helps kids become disciples who can say:
1. I believe in Jesus
2. I’m becoming more like Him
3. I belong to Him forever

SH Lil' Kids FAQ
You can find more answers to Frequently Asked Questions on our Main Kid's Page, but here are a few especially for our most active little guests and their parents:
1. I'm worried my child will be upset. What Can I expect?
If you’re concerned about your children becoming upset when you leave them, the caregivers will work with you to find the best way to comfort them. In most cases, crying stops a few moments after parents leave and fussing becomes less common with regular attendance. If a child continues to cry after five or ten minutes, we contact the parents using their cellphone.
2. What should kids wear?
Play clothes are always welcome! SH Kids is a fun, active environment. Your kids will be playing, singing, and dancing as they learn about Jesus.
3. What Should I Ask My kids on the ride Home?
We encourage parents to keep the conversation going on the car ride home. Ask your
child these two questions:
-
What made you smile this morning?
-
What did you learn?
Our goal is to have a positive answer to both of those questions each week. Each
week our little kids have take-home papers which can help you keep the
disicple making going as you ask them to tell you about it!
